Visit Prague Castle!
The history of Prague Castle stretches back to the 9th century. Over the years it has been home to Kings of Bohemia, Holy Roman Emperors, and presidents of Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic. Following Circuit B, explore Prague Castle at your own pace. The circuit covers the castle and its beautiful interiors such as St. Vitus Cathedral, Old Royal Palace, St. George's Basilica, and Golden Lane with Daliborka Tower.
Visit the Astronomical Clock Tower!
The history of the Astronomical Clock Tower stretches back to the 1300s. The Gothic-style tower has stood through many world events and continues to be one of the most popular attractions in Prague. Before you enter, you will see the Clock. Every hour two small trapdoors open and twelve apostles march out giving us their stories. It is really a magnificent spectacle, 75% of its parts are original - like the from-the-15th-century original. With your tickets, you'll get to the building and take the stairs or an elevator up the tower. From there you'll have amazing views over Old Town Square and the rest of Prague's Old Town. On your way back down to Prague, you can think about the staying power of this clock. It's an appropriate occasion to call to mind the words of English essayist Henry Austin Dobson: Time goes, you say? Oh no! Alas, Time stays, we go. That ought to encourage you to make the most of your time in Prague. With your ticket, you can also visit the interior of the Old Town Hall, its beautiful halls, and the chapel. So do not forget about that!
Visit the Jewish Quarter!
With the admission ticket to the Jewish Quarter, you will gain entrance to the most famous Synagogues without waiting in any line so you can start to explore the old Jewish Town straight away! Visit Maisel Synagogue, Pinkas Synagogue, Old Jewish Cemetery, Spanish Synagogue, and a Gallery, where you will find temporary exhibitions. The Maisel synagogue was erected in 1592 on the basis of a privilege granted by Emperor Rudolf II. Its founder was Mordecai Maisel, the Mayor of the Prague Jewish Town. Touch screens enable visitors to look through old Hebrew manuscripts and to view historical maps of Jewish settlements. You will also get a chance to see the impressive interior of the Spanish Synagogue. Where is also located permanent exhibition: Jews in the Bohemian Lands, 19th-20th Centuries. This exhibition deals with the history of the Jews in the Bohemian lands from the reforms of Joseph II in the 1780s to the period after the Second World War.
Please note that Jewish Synagogues are closed on Saturday and during Jewish Holidays!
Your ticket is valid for 2 days (from the day you receive it) and includes one entry to the object, taking the hassle out of your visit to those extraordinary sights.
