What to Expect
What would Christmas be without the Czech Traditional Christmas Carols Concert by Jakub Jan Ryba? In the run-up to Christmas, the Hybernia Theatre will transform into a church and it will return to its original early Baroque appearance. The combination of music, theatre and visual arts has created a unique show that blends traditional music, a magical Christmas story and the latest visual technology that promises to make the Czech Christmas Mass a feast for your eyes and ears.
The family journey to the Star of Bethlehem is directed by Petr Svojtka, the orchestra is conducted by Lukáš Klánský, and sung by Czech famous opera singers by Daniel Hůlka, Daniel Klánský, or Michal Bragagnolo. The projections also include footage of the famous Třebechovice Nativity scene, which will remind you of a traditional Czech Christmas.
If you are still not in the Christmas mood during Advent, then stop by for a moment and take the whole family to the Czech Christmas Mass, and we guarantee that as soon as you leave the Hybernia Theatre, you will be in the mood for a Christmas miracle.
