The Old Town Hall in Prague was founded in 1338 (the first of its kind in Bohemia) on the basis of a privilege granted to the Old Town burghers by King John of Luxembourg. It consists of a complex of several houses adjacent to Old Town Square, which were gradually joined together into a single complex for the administrative needs of Prague's Old Town.
