Mucha Museum – the first museum in the world dedicated exclusively to the life and work of the world-famous representative of Art Nouveau, Alfons Mucha (1860–1939) was opened to the public in Prague on Panská Street on 13 February 1998. The Mucha Museum covers an area of 500 m2, including a museum shop offering an exclusive collection of gifts and posters with motifs of Mucha’s works. The collection, which is now on display in the museum, presents over 150 originals from the original collection of the world-famous Czechoslovak tennis player Ivan Lendl. The Mucha Museum is therefore the only institution in Prague exhibiting exclusively originals by Mucha.
